For the second consecutive year, Hï Ibiza has claimed the crown in DJ Mag’s annual club poll, firmly establishing its reputation as a global nightlife hotspot.

Hï Ibiza, which swung open its doors in 2017, has truly defined a new era of clubbing on the infamous Playa d’en Bossa strip. Offering several immersive zones devoted to fostering an unrivalled environment for electronic music lovers, the club is a testament to Ibiza’s pulsating nightlife.

What sets Hï Ibiza apart, and arguably the reason behind its back-to-back accolades, is its pride in being the world’s most technologically advanced club. A custom-designed L-Acoustics sound system encapsulates the venue, while its extraordinary production capabilities light up the club’s various spaces, creating an electrifying atmosphere like no other.

The Theatre, influenced by Italian amphitheatres, is a unique spectacle within the club. With a dancefloor surrounded by a raised terrace housing the VIP area, the space is decked out with CO2 Megatrons, BB4 lasers, confetti, and a full-width high-definition LED screen, ensuring each residency offers a distinct visual experience

Complementing the Theatre, The Club, characterized by its low ceiling, creates an intimate space for those lost-in-the-music moments. It features a dancefloor-level DJ booth and an impressive lighting installation that bathes the room in a riot of colors.

Then there’s the Wild Corner, an unconventional third room that takes the clubbing experience to a whole new level. It is, in fact, a unisex toilet equipped with a state-of-the-art DJ booth right at the centre, creating an eccentric and exhilarating atmosphere. This space is so cool that even Idris Elba and Fatboy Slim have graced the DJ decks!

Back home in Malaysia, Zouk KL, which first opened in 2004, had been a regular feature of the Top 100 list since 2011, on a steady upwards trajectory until the pandemic. Malaysia was one of the first countries to close and amongst the last to open due to Covid-19. Since Zouk KL’s closure, no other Malaysian club has made it to the list – yet!

Nevertheless, Hï Ibiza’s triumph offers a beacon of hope and resilience for clubs worldwide, inspiring them to endure, innovate, and redefine the clubbing experience for better times ahead.
